Ravi Teja

The drawing which you are seeing beside this post, is done by
Ravi Teja... my dearest nephew... in one of his boring classes.I have grown up seeing him grow up...Sweet, Cute, Smiling, Smart kid he was... used to play with him, pamper him and overall thoroughly enjoy his company..

He has grown up since then. Joined in CBIT,Hyd in Engineering. I was proud that the kid with whom i played and grown up is becoming a professional. He was always enthusiasitic about life, about computers, about cars, about friends, about relatives, you name it.....

Was eagerly waiting to write GRE to go to US of A. spoke to him on June 10th on phone from London about his life his goals and ofcourse girls....

Called my brother on June 15th morning routinely to find out how is everyone doing miles and miles away from me...His voice was shaky, lifeless and almost in tears... was expecting the worse news about someone's demise.....

Ravi Teja....Meaning Brightness of SUN in Sanskrit. AGE: 20. was no more in this Cruel world...My heart sank that day, went into Denial and then Anger, later Depression...cant imagine a World without him, dont even want to imagine...He died in a freaky car accident on Necklace Road in Hyd,INDIA.

NIGHT DUTIES

Am back here after a long gap... just finished my set of night duties for this month..
let me share few things about them. As a doctor on call at night , i will be resposible for all the lovely people coming in with their pain and sorrows of health during the odd hours of the day...This is a start..

Now, i have to hold a pager to attend calls and to unwell people in whole hospital in my speciality i.e. in Elderly care for the moment..(someone as said absolutely right about them as "Old age is second childhood" and i completely agree with them.) Cute old grandpa's and grandma's cant hear nor can tell whats wrong with them and entirely depend on what we can decipher from their expressions...and ofcourse reactions to pain.....

Funny things happen at night...Everyone is tired, some bored, few flirtatious (atleast something good @night as there would be no competition to grab hot and caring Nurses attention)

On one of those busy and demanding nights, saving people's lives (well thats what i feel when am at work:),lot of things were going on ... a nurse calls and says this old man's heart is racing like a horse do something,an other calls 'this young 96yr old has a chest pain' and an other nurse from one of the far end wards of the hospital pages to see a very sick man who is not responding....Now i was thinking to prioritise where to go to save a man with racing heart, a woman with pain or about a man who might have be in his eternal and blissfull sleep with those sleeping pills ...

Voila! there comes a nurse shouting "Doctor, Doctor... come fast i found a big bed sore at the bottom of this lady" beaming with a proud face that she discovered something which the morning staff missed and probably not cared well....so as a lone doctor had to attend to this wonderful nurse's excitement....
Guess what it turned out to be? well with whole staff of Auxillary nurses, students and helpers looking and eagerly waiting for my esteemed opinion in a floodlit cubicle...
I shouted its not a sore its a "BLODDY ASS-HOLE>>>>
You can imagine what the atmosphere there might have been by now......well i leave that to all guys who might be reading this blog.....

Happy Days

Hi ...its 4.30 am in Houston,Tx. I just finished watching the movie Happy Days(Telugu)...Realised that life was really much happier in college and after that we are leading a life with a purpose.....
Felt very emotional, remembering the days at different stages and walks of my life at all my esteemed institutions.... those wonderful friends i made, jokes we shared, bonded with each other through difficult times, petty fights and lovely nights spent...and last but not the least the quest for eternal love...
Suddenly thought of sharing those precious moments with someone, close enough to hold hands, open up my heart and acknowledge the role played by every friend and foe equally ...
This is my first ever Blog...dont know why i decided to write but feeling much better already...trying to keep my eyes wide open...
i will share more about myself tommorrow or rather today after i get up...
